STEPH WILLIAMS
Steph first worked as a guide in 2003 on the glaciers of Alaska’s Wrangell Mountains. She spent a decade as a professional ski patroller, co-founded and currently directs the Cascades Wolverine Project monitoring mountain wildlife, and works as an avalanche specialist. She loves technical movement in nature, and adventure, especially when the two are combined.
Steph has been lucky to ski and climb in spectacular alpine wildlands in the Cascades, as well as Alaska, Canada, Pakistan, India, China, Chile, Iceland, Norway, and Japan. Along the way, she's established a dozen new technical climbs from local crags to a Karakoram big-wall, and has skied remote exploratory terrain for over twenty years with her wonderful husband, Drew.
The North Cascades of the Pacific Northwest has been home to Steph since 2001. She lives with her husband in Twisp, Washington.
Steph is an AMGA Certified Ski & Rock Guide.
