SOLVEIG WATERFALL

Solveig was born and raised in the Alpental Valley of Washington State. She first clicked into ski bindings at less than a year old, and has been in hot pursuit of fresh snow ever since. Mountaineering was a natural progression in the search for steeper, more interesting terrain, and the biathlon of ski-mountaineering soon became a lifelong passion. Solveig started guiding while getting a BA from Western State Colorado University, and has since worked in the Sierras, the Cascades, the Alaska Range, and Internationally on the Mexican Volcanoes and Argentina’s Aconcagua. Personal climbing and skiing aspirations have taken her to Sikkim in the Indian Himalaya, and the Waddington Range in BC.

Solveig is a year round guide, working for Pacific Alpine Guides, Pro Guiding, and RMI, and is co-owner of Tahoma Ski Guides. She's summited Mt. Rainier over 100 times and is an AMGA Certified Ski Guide.
